Received OPENED product! There was an opened white packet that had root beer crystals spilled all over inside the box. The packet appeared to have been opened as it was crinkled on the corner where it should have been sealed. Since this was only a $7 item I threw it away because I am not taking any chances! Yes, I could have made only half of the refill batch but again it was my judgment to throw it away. I had sent amazon a message about the packaging and never received any response.
I accidentally got rootbeer on my BetseyJohnson Rootbeer Snocone Syrup purse that I got for Christmas from my mom. It’s not too dark, but if you look you can definately see it. How might it be possible to get rid of it?

My husband originally received the root beer making kit as a gift. He enjoyed making the root beer so much and we enjoyed the end product we ordered the refill kit. Whenever family and friends come over they ask if we have any root beer!
I was impressed with this kit. Easy to use & good tasting end product. I would recommend it to anyone who likes root beer!
The refil kit is perfect everything you need to make 2 gallons of some of the best root beer around. I would highly recommend getting this after you buy thy Mr Rootbeer complete kit.
If you have kids, this would be a neat activity to get them away from the TV or video games. As an adult who just wants some root beer, it’s kind of a hassle. THE GOOD: It makes great root beer. The fermented carbonation could be described as “tinier bubbles than regular carbonation”–it’s refreshing. It makes a great gift for someone who likes root beer…the best gift is to make a batch and give it to them chilled so they can enjoy it immediately. THE BAD: Having to sanitize everything is a pain. It’s scary to see how much sugar you have to add. How do you get that root beer flavor? Squirt some of the root beer flavoring in. Which leaves you still scratching your head as to how you would REALLY make root beer. What is root beer flavoring made from? THE UGLY: Treat the root beer flavoring as though it is India ink. It will stain the heck out of anything it touches. BOTTOM LINE: Great root beer if you don’t mind working to get it.
I bought this product for my kids. it takes a few days for the batch to ferment. I would suggest it only for when the kids are not in school. It is neat for them to learn how rootbeer is made, but most kids (like mine) would prefer just the store bought type.
The Mr. Root Beer kit is very simple and comes with everything you need to make your own root beer. Our first attempt at making the root beer went well, but we put it in the fridge just a bit too soon. The flavor is great, but by putting it in too soon it isn’t hardly carbonated at all. Next time around we know a little better what to expect, so it should be even better!
This Root Beer kit, is easly one of the best items that I have bought in a while.
Got this kit as a gift. Though making the root beer is kinda cool & fun, it doesn’t taste very good. I followed the instructions to the letter, and though the first batch was probably a little over-carbonized, the second batch definitely was not. Both batches don’t have all that much flavor, and had an unpleasant aftertaste.
I really wanted to like this stuff, but it’s just not enjoyable to drink. I’ll be sticking with the really good “microbrew” root beers on the market, like Saranac or Boylan’s.
