You will never regret making this purchase. This crock pot is an absolute must have for any busy parent. I can’t imagine living my life without the ability to throw dinner in the slow cooker at the same time I am serving up breakfast, set it on low and forget it until I walk in the door for dinner! Absolutely wonderful.

Bought this griddle to save space in my apt. Great for company since it allows different temperatures on both sides, plus the heating plates are easy to remove for washing. Also makes a great grilled cheese sandwich by folding one side of the grill over the other. I would highly recommend this product.

Bot to take camping. Great! Even heat, very easy clean up. Love the dual controls. Easy to store.

I have owned this griddle for 4 1/2 months and use it at least once or twice a week. I use it to cook pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. It is great for all unless you are cooking a lot of bacon or sausage because the grease will leak underneath. When frying eggs make sure to pour the egg slowly onto the griddle or it will run down into the grease trap.
The griddle folds in half–nice for those with limited storage space. Several reviewers noted that the removable plates are thin and this is true. They are very easy to remove and wash and they heat uniformly. I like the two temperature controls.

We have a small kitchen and this is the perfect solution. I think it’s fantastic for ANY kitchen though, just because it takes up less space and stores easily, Also I love the use of one side or the other -others may have this feature I haven’t checked but it’s definitly something I would look for in a griddle now!
!!!EASY TO CLEAN!!!

I and my roommate, use this more than any other kitchen item. It cooks spaghetti so fast, and you can strain it without a colander. However it does make a mess of water (I have to put a plate underneath it to catch this water) and I have often felt like it might electrocute me. IE its perfect for a poor students lifestyle.

I just love this hot pot. It is what it is, and it does what it says it’s supposed to. It’s not fancy, but it heats water in a matter of minutes. The temperature knob doesn’t have any markings on it, so I took a permanent marker and put a dot on the dial so I could see if the temperature was on low or high (low is left; high is right, and this is not rocket science.) That is the only thing I found confusing about this hot pot, but for the price, it is well worth having to mark the dial by hand. If it were a Cadillac, I’d have been disappointed, but it’s a hot pot, so it was fine. The main thing is it heats water in a snap and also has a built-in thermostat, and it continually cycles to keep the water hot. I make perfect hot tea in it. The pot’s interior does stain somewhat, but I am sure that tea would do that anyway. This staining is just another example of “it is an imperfect world in which we live,” and I’m not all that surprised about that. Anybody who complains about the staining should research how to get the stains out, but I just don’t really care because the stains don’t mean it is not clean, per se. Another thing is you have to be careful when you open up the hot pot when it’s full of hot liquid, but it can be done if you hold the handle with one hand to steady the pot and then sort of hold the lid down with the heel of your hand while you gently pry the lid off with your fingers. I really like this thing. It’s terrific. If you can be “in love” with a hot pot, then call me crazy.

I bought this Hot Pot to use in school for ramen noodles and tea. After about a week, it developed a rust spot that kept getting bigger and bigger and the water was brown/rusty so I had to throw it away. I had to buy a new one. I bought the Proctor Silex K2070 and I’m very happy with it. The Rival Hot Pocket Express was a complete waste of money for me.

I bought a similar one 7 years ago for boiling eggs for breakfast. Now I got this one the same price as before, and works just as it should be, very happy

In college, my wife picked up this little rice cooker because it was cheap and could make small portions for her. When we were dating, she would make me spanish rice and all sorts of things in there. I moved across the country for a job and thought I’d get a “nicer” big 10 cup rice cooker with lots of bells and whistles. When she came and moved in with me, she hated my rice cooker. It couldn’t make spanish rice the way she wanted. It was too big and didn’t have the same simple ease of use as this one. She made me go to Target and buy one of these. We still have the big fancy one, but it sits in the back of a cabinet. The rice cooker just broke (won’t turn on), so we just ordered two more.

Why is this better than others:
- It is small, which is perfect for one person or a couple. Many larger rice cookers (like the big one we have) don’t work for small portions.
- The bowl heats up quickly on the bottom so you can saute in it. This is important for many rice recipes like my wife’s spanish rice.
- The steamer is easy to use and add or remove at any time. My big rice cooker also had a steamer, but it sat inside and got very hot. It was difficult to remove without burning yourself. This one sits on top with its own handle so you can just stick it in between the rice and the lid and later remove it whenever you want without burning yourself or disturbing the rice.
- Extremely simple to use. There’s a switch. You put the rice in and press the button. No screens, programming, options, nothing, it just works.
- Easy to clean. Stick the bowl and lid in the dishwasher and you’re done. Hand washing a rice cooker is a pain, especially if it doesn’t have a removable bowl. This one is a piece of cake.

What might be a problem for you:
- It won’t cook enough for more than two or three people. If you’re feeding a family of four or more, you’ll need a bigger rice cooker.
- There’s no way to turn it off without unplugging it. We have accidentally left it plugged in a number of times and it remains in the keep warm mode forever.
- May not be the most durable and long lasting. We’ve only had our for two years, haven’t mistreated it, and it stopped working.
- Steamer isn’t the greatest. You don’t get the best quality steaming from the built in steamer, but I’ve never found one on a rice cooker that’s all that great. Steam on the stove if you really care.

All in all I would strongly recommend this unless it doesn’t work for you for one of the following reasons:
- Too many people (it won’t feed more than 3)
- You need a delay timer (some fancier ones allow you to put the rice in before you head to work and have the rice cooked and ready 8 hours later)
- You need some other fancy feature (in my opinion anything that doesn’t work in something like this you should just do on the stove)
- You hate red (it doesn’t come in any other color, maybe you could paint it?)
